 MACON GIANTS BASEBALL

The Great South League morphed from the Georgia Collegiate League, a
league formed in the fall of 2005 by the state-wide Georgia Dugout Club, an
organization which promotes high school and college baseball within the State of Georgia. The GSL  expanded to over 20 Teams for the 2010 summer season including teams in Florida and Alabama. It is anticipated that 2012 will have 25 teams in 6 states (adding Virginia, North and South Carolina), becoming "The Mega League of the South" tm

 MACON GIANTS BASEBALL

The league is recruiting players and coaches nationwide for the 2010 summer season. Interested players and coaches should e mail the league at gsa1@bellsouth.net . A representative of the league will make contact after the information is received. The Great South League, the Best in College Summer Baseball, Southern Style

Looking out for you....

Who is making sure that college coaches are seeing you?

Who is helping you research the college baseball/softball programs you are
interested in?

Make sure you maximize your once in a lifetime opportunity to play college
ball.

Our scouting makes the difference. Our professional scouts work to
ensure that you find a college that is a good fit for you. All of our
scouts are former college, professional players, coaches or academy owners
who have the knowledge, experience and well established professional
relationships to help you reach your goals. Remember, we are players also,
so we can relate to your dreams and aspirations.

College baseball and softball coaches don't have the time or resources
to see all of the deserving and talented high school players who could make
an impact with their teams. It's important to make your abilities stand out
and get noticed if you want to reach the next level. With our state of the
art Digital video analysis program we can showcase your talents to college
coaches across the country who are looking for players JUST LIKE YOU!!

Competition for baseball and softball scholarships have become more
intense. Let GSA assist you in obtaining the college program that best suits
your abilities and personality.

Get exposure

Our scouting will be your greatest advocate during the recruiting process.
We will make sure that your athletic and academic achievements are noticed
by the right coaches at the right colleges. The very best way to improve
your chances of being offered a baseball/softball scholarship is to get the
attention of college coaches. If they don't know you are interested in their
program and are capable of helping them achieve their goals, you have
diminished your chances of getting a scholarship at their school.

Evaluation
With our experience and our ability give true evaluations, coaches
can rely on our assessments. That is why NL Prospects is the best scouting
and college placement service in the country.

A Personal Web Page
The personal web page will include your academic information,
workout video, and professional scout evaluation. This personal web page
will be made available to college coaches through our searchable database.
We will also be sending it out to the colleges that match your profile.

Consultation
The consultation between the prospect and our scouts is an ongoing
relationship that lasts from the initial interview, through the entire
recruitment process, all the way to college placement. Because of their
immense experience our scouts are able to act as mentors and professional
advisors. We share in the prospect's dreams and aspirations.

At GSA we consider the personal relationships that are forged between the
scout and the student prospect to be of paramount importance. It is this
close relationship, between mentor and student that separates us from the
competition. We take an individual approach with each and every student to
ensure that we always have his best interest in mind.

Why Scouting For College Baseball/Softball?

Every High School player remembers at least three or four fellow team mates
who deserved to play ball at the college level but never had the
opportunity. These deserving young players went unnoticed and were never
recruited. It is unfortunate that those student's athletic careers may have
ended at high school graduation.

Now, high school ball players who want to play at the college level and
have a chance for an athletic scholarship are often turning to an expert
for help. This is where GSA steps in. We go into the scouting process for you
with one goal in mind: to give young ball players access to the life
changing opportunities that is enjoyed by many and a chance to take
their passion for the game of baseball to a Higher Level.

Juice Plus .... Simple. Quick. Delicious.

What Health Professionals Say about Juice Plus

The large and growing body of Juice Plus+ clinical research is leading to increasingly wide acceptance of Juice Plus+ among coaches, doctors and other health professionals. Thousands now recommend Juice Plus+ to their players, patients and clients.

Read and listen to what these two leading Doctors have to say about the importance of athletes and anyone else for that matter, eating more fruits and vegetables and the role that Juice Plus+ can play.

Paul Stricker, M.D.

Why he recommends Juice Plus+:  "Stress isn’t the only problem kids face today. Most children eat so poorly it’s a wonder that they can perform on the field or in the classroom at all. That’s why I’m so thrilled with Juice Plus+: it’s such an easy way for children and their parents to get more of the good nutrition lacking in our diets today that is absolutely essential to good health in general and physical performance .

Specialty:  From San Diego, California. One of just over a hundred doctors in the U.S. who are board-certified in both pediatrics and  sports medicine.

Research in sports medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas 1985-86. Pediatric internship and residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock 1988-91. Fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) 1991-93.

Achievements in Sports Medicine:  Appointed Head Physician for the World University Games in 1999. Served as team physician for the U.S. Olympic Team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Served as team physician for national teams in swimming, soccer, gymnastics, and basketball. Served as team physician for the Division 1A Vanderbilt University Commodores of the Southeastern Conference and the University of San Diego Toreros of the West Coast Conference.

Professional Achievements:  He is a charter member and past-president of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness, a member of the editorial advisory board of Healthy Children magazine, and a reviewer of manuscripts for the journal Pediatrics.  Program Director of the 2006 American Academy of Pediatrics Pediatric/Adolescent Sports Medicine Course. He is also the author of Sports Success Rx, published in conjunction with the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Health Advice:  "We need for our young people to have a positive experience with sports and exercise – so they’ll keep doing it at for the rest of their lives. Yet many of the children and teenagers that I see today are often just as stressed out as their parents. Competition is healthy, but we need to take some the stress and pressure out of kids’ sports and make it fun for everyone."

Richard E. DuBois, M.D.
Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases
Atlanta, Georgia
Home:  Atlanta, Georgia.
Medical Specialty:  Infectious Diseases.
Education:  State University of New York at Buffalo, Doctor of Medicine.
Most Recent Position:  Chief of Internal Medicine, Atlanta Medical Center.
Honors:  The Award of Excellence in Teaching at Atlanta Medical Center, where he was chosen as 'most valuable physician' and re-elected to four consecutive terms as Chief of Internal Medicine. President of the Georgia Society of Internal Medicine. President of the Infectious Disease Society of Georgia. President of the Medical Association of Atlanta. Listed in Best Doctors in America every year since 1994. Chosen by his medical colleagues as their 'physician of choice' in his specialty.
Recent Paper:  Oxidative Stress in the Pathogenesis of Disease and Aging: Opportunity for Intervention, a review of current medical literature establishing the importance of antioxidants from whole food sources in preventing degenerative disease.
Health Advice:  "Scientific studies involving isolated, high-dose, and often synthetic vitamin and mineral supplements have shown conflicting and sometimes even harmful results. One study shows that 2,000 mg of vitamin E may delay the progression of Alzheimer’s disease; another suggests that 800 mg is bad for the immune system. 50 mg of beta-carotene decreased the risk of cancer in one group of doctors but actually increased the risk in another."

Why he recommends Juice Plus+: "Studies have proven that whole foods are the best source of micronutrients, in part because antioxidants and other micronutrients work together in ways we’ve just begun to understand. Whole foods also have thousands of yet-to-be identified phytochemicals that will prove beneficial for human nutrition. I tell my patients: Eat whole foods and take Juice Plus+."
